Indonesia was planning to export more than 15MT of nickel Ore in 2017

In August last results Indonesian metal exports only about 400,000 tons of steel a year, while china can do sold 750juta tons a year. But many in Indonesia's newly budding smelter industry say changing the rules would do more harm than good for Southeast Asia's largest economy, possibly undermining metal prices and putting up to $12 billion in investments at risk.
