Shanghai Metal Corporation is manufacturer and supplier of Tracer Wire. For the traditional plastic pipe laying, due to the PE pipe is not conductive, not conductive to magnetic and can not be traced, to the future pipeline maintenance inconvenience, so the tracer wire appeared.
The tracer wire is laid together with the polyethylene pipeline, generally with a metal core. The detection equipment applies a signal to the metal wire and the detection receiver receives the signal to find the exact position of the tracer wire, that is, to track the exact position of the polyethylene gas pipe synchronously. It facilitates the retrofitting and maintenance of polyethylene pipelines. The structure of the tracer wire is PE protective layer + inner core copper clad steel wire. It retains both the low resistance of copper core wire and the long life of PE100. There are two ways to lay the tracer wire, one is to lay the metal conductor along the pipe line when the pipe line is being laid, and the other is to penetrate the metal conductor inside the non-metallic pipe line.
