Round brass wire is made of 62%–68% copper-zinc alloy, available in C2800, C2680, C2700, C2200, C2100 grades. The diameter ranges from 0.3mm to 12mm, and tempers include O, 1/8H, 1/4H, 1/2H, H. It combines high strength, hardness and wear resistance with strong chemical stability and excellent machinability, while retaining good plasticity for forming, drawing and cutting operations. Compared with pure copper, brass wire achieves better wear resistance and structural strength for load-bearing conductive or heat-conductive components, and avoids the brittleness of high-zinc brass. It is widely used in electrical terminals and connectors, hardware fasteners (screws, nuts, rivets), spring components, welding rods, heat exchanger and condenser parts, cryogenic pipeline fittings, subsea transportation pipeline accessories, as well as manufacturing of sheets, bars, rods, pipes and pressure-resistant casting parts.
