CuCrZr is high-strength age-hardened electrode material for spot welding, in particular high-cycle continuous spot welding. It is suitable for all materials including alloys and stainless steel and coated steel sheet such as galvanized sheet. Shanks are cold forged without additional machining, making them distinguished for their metallurgical property (high conductivity and resistance to deformation), consistent performance and long life. The lower percentage of chrome in comparison to the standard Class 2 CuCr material and the addition of Zr to this Copper alloy discourage the alloying affected of zinc and copper to form brass on the electrode face and help to prevent sticking.
