Zirconium exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in hydrochloric acid at all concentrations, temperatures, and even above boiling point, and is less prone to crevice corrosion, pitting corrosion, and stress corrosion. Zirconium in sulfuric acid can withstand the boiling point and be higher than the boiling point, with a concentration of up to 70%. Zirconium can resist certain highly corrosive environments, including various inorganic acids (hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, etc.), bases, most organic acids (such as hydrochloric acid, formic acid, etc.), various salt solutions, and molten bases.
