Shanghai Metal Corporation are delighted to supply high quality Silicon Steel, we are one of Chinese leading
manufacture in steel mill. We promise our customers with reliable quality, frequent delivery and excellent after sales service.
Electrical steel is mainly divided into GO electrical steel and NGO electrical steel two categories.
Easy magnetization direction of GO electrical steel distribution along the rolling direction, the direction of rolling
with high induction, excellent characteristics such as low iron loss and low magnetostriction, while the magnetic
domain refinement processing technology, lower iron loss of performance, and are widely used in the transformer industry.
Grain-oriented electrical steel usually has a silicon level of 3% (Si:11Fe).
It is processed in such a way that the optimal properties are developed in the rolling direction,
due to a tight control (proposed by Norman P. Goss) of the crystal orientation relative to the sheet.
The magnetic flux density is increased by 30% in the coil rolling direction, although its magnetic saturation
is decreased by 5%. It is used for the cores of power and distribution transformers, cold-rolled grain-oriented steel
is often abbreviated to CRGO.
Packaging of Oriented Silicon Steel
Shanghai Metal Products are packed and labeled according to the regulations and customer's requests. Great care is taken to avoid any damage which might be caused during storage or transportation. In addition, clear labels are tagged on the outside of the packages for easy identification of the product I. D. and quality information.

Applications of Oriented Silicon Steel:
1) Large power transformer
2) Medium & small power transformer
3) Distribution transformer
4) Reactor & magnetic amplifier
5) Audio transformer
6) Current & potential transformer
7) Ballast
8) Welding transformer
9) Magnetic switch core
CRGO is usually supplied by the producing mills in coil form and has to be cut into "laminations", which are then used to form a transformer core, which is an integral part of any transformer. Grain-oriented steel is used in large power and distribution transformers and in certain audio output transformers.
