UNS R30556 combines effective resistance to sulfidizing, carburizing and chlorine-bearing environments at high temperatures with good oxidation resistance, fabric ability and excellent high temperature strength. It also resists to corrosion by molten zinc, molten chloride salts and other salts.

Haynes 556 can be used as furnace, rotary kiln calcinations furnace and industrial waste incineration, hot galvanizing equipment, high temperature components in the aerospace industry.
