Monel 400 is a Nickel-Copper alloy, resistant to sea water and steam at high temperatures as well as to salt and caustic solutions.
Monel 400 is characterized by good general corrosion resistance, good weldability and moderate to high strength. The alloy has been used in a variety of applications. It has excellent resistance to rapidly flowing brackish water or seawater. It is particularly resistant to hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids when they are de-aerated. The alloy is slightly magnetic at room temperature. Monel 400 is widely used in the chemical, oil and marine industries.

Advantages of Monel 400 Sheet/Plate:
Monel 400 has good corrosion resistance. Part of the small size of the product mechanical properties are better than the American Standard UNS N04400 index. Application considerations: good mechanical properties, common annealing (stress) machine state materials; special attention should be paid to the shrinkage of machined parts. Welding is used in annealing state, welding, argon arc welding or industry in general welding method welding; if there are conditions, after welding to eliminate stress. The use of explosive welding composite plate, composite surface should be thoroughly cleaned.
