As a new generation of flexible anode, MMO/Ti flexible anode has the advantages of uniform distribution of protection potential, high discharge density, long life and high reliability. These technical characteristics of flexible anode determine that it can be effectively used for cathodic protection of dense pipeline network, overcoming the problems of uneven potential distribution, easy interference and shielding of traditional point anode system. Applied to the outside protection of storage tank bottom plate, it can achieve the goal of even potential distribution and long life while achieving high reliability. Due to the implementation of regional cathodic protection for oil and petrochemical stations with densely buried steel pipelines, there is a greater difficulty if the traditional distributed anode is used. This is because the station is densely distributed buried pipelines, pipe diameter is not the same, the pipeline anti-corrosion layer is mostly coated on the spot, the quality is difficult to ensure, coupled with many grounding systems, making the regional cathodic protection of dense pipelines in the station is prone to shielding, interference and other problems, which makes it difficult to achieve the ideal uniformity of the protection potential. Using flexible anode-based protection mode, only the flexible anode needs to be laid along the protection pipeline in the station, which can effectively overcome the above technical difficulties of using traditional distributed anode. Its economy is also better than that of the protection method using distributed anode.
