Extension springs are spiral springs that withstand axial tension, and extension springs are generally made of circular materials. When the load is not borne, there is generally no gap between coil and coil of the extension spring. Extension springs work in the opposite way to compression springs. The compression spring acts in reverse when it is pressed, and the extension spring acts in reverse when it is stretched or pulled apart. Extension springs absorb and store energy as well as create a resistance to a pulling force. Extension Springs are attached at both ends to other components. When these components move apart, the extension springs will pull components together again.
