Hastelloy C276 has excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media in both oxidation and reduction atmospheres. and Hastelloy C276 Has excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion. The higher content of Mo and Cr makes the alloy resistant to chloride ion corrosion, and the W element further improves the corrosion resistance. Meanwhile, Hastelloy C-276 alloy is one of the few materials that is resistant to corrosion from humid chlorine gas, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide solutions, and has significant corrosion resistance to high concentration chloride solutions such as iron chloride and copper chloride. Suitable for sulfuric acid solutions of various concentrations, it is one of the few materials that can be applied to hot concentrated sulfuric acid solutions.

A: 3–7 working days. Samples are cut, inspected and packed before shipment.

Q5.Does Hastelloy C276 need post-weld heat treatment?

A: No post-weld heat treatment is required for most corrosion service. Solution annealing is only needed for severe corrosive conditions.

Q6.What is the difference between Hastelloy C276 and 316L stainless steel?

A: C276 has far better resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion and mixed acid corrosion; 316L fails easily in these aggressive media.

Q7.Can Hastelloy C276 rod be used in low & medium temperature hydrochloric acid?

A: Yes. Its low carbon and molybdenum-tungsten formula keeps stable against hydrochloric acid corrosion under this condition.
