According to the different tightness requirements of the cover closure place, there are two types of watertight manhole cover and oil-tight manhole cover. The Marine manhole cover can be divided into oblong and round shape according to its shape, among which the oblong manhole cover is widely used.

According to its density can be divided into oil density and water density, the difference between the two lies in the material of sealing gasket, oil density should use oil resistant rubber, water density should use sea resistant water rubber.

The manholes on the roof or wall board such as the liquid chamber and the isolation cabin must be equipped with a manhole cover, and their water tightness must be ensured. Generally, each chamber or cabin is equipped with at least two manholes and arranged diagonally.
