Packaging of Nickel alloy wire:
Shanghai Metal Products are packed and labeled according to the regulations and customer's requests. Great care is taken to avoid any damage which might be caused during storage or transportation. In addition, clear labels are tagged on the outside of the packages for easy identification of the product I. D. and quality information.
1) Shanghai Metal Standard
2) Customization

Q1.What information do you need for a custom quotation?
A: Please provide the specific material grade (e.g., Inconel 600, Monel 400), precise wire diameter, required temper (soft, half-hard, hard), surface finish, order quantity, and a brief description of your target application environment.
Q2.What is the MOQ and production lead time?
A: The standard MOQ is 50kg for regular grades. Production lead time is typically 15-25 working days for standard orders and 25-40 working days for customized specifications requiring special wire drawing or annealing processes.
Q3.How long does sample preparation take?
A: For standard materials in stock, sample preparation takes 3-7 working days. If custom drawing is required for non-standard diameters, the process will require up to 15 working days.
Q4.What certifications are available?
A: We provide Material Test Reports (MTR) according to EN 10204 3.1. Our production process complies with ISO 9001:2015, and our products strictly meet relevant ASTM and ASME standards based on the specific grade ordered.
Q5.What is the difference between Inconel and Monel wire?
A: Inconel is a nickel-chromium alloy designed specifically for extreme high-temperature environments and severe oxidation resistance. Monel is a nickel-copper alloy optimized for corrosion resistance against seawater, hydrofluoric acid, and alkalis at ambient or moderately elevated temperatures.
Q6.How to choose the right temper (hardness) for the wire?
A: Soft annealed wire is recommended for weaving, stranding, and forming applications requiring high ductility. Hard or half-hard temper is necessary for manufacturing industrial springs, fasteners, and structural supports requiring high tensile strength.
Q7.What factors should I consider when choosing a nickel alloy for chemical processing?
A: You must evaluate the specific corrosive media (e.g., precise acid concentrations, presence of chlorides), the operating temperature range, and continuous mechanical stress. For instance, Hastelloy C276 is strongly recommended over standard grades for environments containing wet chlorine gas and hypochlorite.
