A Rivet Nut is a single-sided fastener designed to create a strong, permanent, and reusable internal thread in thin-walled materials and hollow profiles. It is installed entirely from one side using standard rivet nut tools, forming a secure load-bearing anchor without requiring rear access or pre-tapping of the workpiece. This makes it the ideal replacement for welded nuts, particularly where rear access is impossible or where heat distortion must be avoided.
We offer a comprehensive range of Rivet Nuts to meet diverse engineering requirements:Standard Open-End Rivet Nuts: The most common type, featuring a through-hole thread for general assembly.Sealed Blind-End Rivet Nuts: A specialized variant with a closed end, providing excellent resistance against dust, moisture, and fluid ingress. Technical Information of Rivet Nut
Rivet Nuts, also referred to as Nutserts or Threaded Inserts, are high-performance fasteners engineered for applications where traditional tapping or welding is impractical. The fastener is placed into a pre-drilled hole and set using a dedicated installation tool. As the tool pulls the internal mandrel, the unthreaded shank of the nut collapses and expands against the blind side of the parent material, creating a strong compressive joint.
We can provide including Standard Open-End: Features a through-hole thread, suitable for most general fastening applications where full thread engagement is required.Blind-End (Sealed): Features a closed-end construction that prevents the passage of liquids, gases, or debris through the thread. This variant is essential for protecting sensitive internal components in harsh environments.
Rivet Nuts are manufactured in compliance with international standards including GB/T 17880, DIN 7339, and ISO 15977. Material selection ranges from Carbon Steel (Grades 5, 8, 10) for high strength, to Stainless Steel (Grades A2-70, A4-80) for superior corrosion resistance, and Aluminum alloys for lightweight applications.
